"We enjoyed our short but very sweet night at Palazzo Privatera. We arrived on the heels of Cyclone Henry, so much of the town was shut down, but our host Alfio was extremely insightful and helpful. He showed us around this mideivel treasure, hosted a wonderful breakfast, and made our stay so comfortable! Wish we would have had more time to enjoy the amazing property and town, but hope to return in the future to enjoy more of Mt Etna’s beauty and vineyards!"

"Pleasant hostess, clean room, offsite breakfast is OK though we were asked to pay after the 2nd night until we mentioned Francisco. Parking is the big issue, free parking is only available on the beach road. Paid parking is available at local parking garage. Rocky beach nearby, sandy beach is half a kilometer away. Good location to catch bus to Isole Bella in Taormina. Everything worked well in the room."

"The host, Guiseppe was very accommodating. The ferries were not running to the Aeolian islands due to weather conditions, and this place was available. We were fortunate that we stayed here on such short notice and with quick entry to property. Very close to ferry, cafes, and shops. Parking is a little hectic, but we found spots close to apartment. "The room has a beautiful view of the ocean and Mount Etna. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly and went the extra mile to help us. The swimming pool by the ocean is beautiful, though the water temperature in April was too cold to swim in. Buffet breakfast included a large variety of foods. The property seems a bit aged but we are 100% satisfied with the cleanliness of our room. "
