"had some issues checking in as the property was located in the middle of a residential area with inadequate signs. it was very airbnb-esqe, genuinely thought that we were screwed when we could not find the property after driving a few rounds. when we did find the property via a faded sign, there was no number on the sign to call as this property was not manned at all. to be fair they did whatsapp a message beforehand but it appeared as a foreign number and we do not entertain unsolicited...

"Lovely little hotel in a fantastic location. Clean room, good shower, can’t ask for more really. Was really nice to be able to pop back to the room for a quick freshen up whilst wandering around Melacca as it’s super close to the action. My only criticism would be that the air con was a bit loud and occasionally woke us up but nothing too serious, not enough to knock them down to 5 stars, and most importantly it kept the room nice and cool! "

"The place is a restored historic estate on the riverfront. I stayed street side and the room was still very quiet. Large bathroom and very soft bed. Very comfy! "

"We had an amazing experience here at the 5 Heeren Hotel. The location is superb, right next to Jonker Street, and the hotel itself is exquisite both inside and outside. The staff were all extremely helpful and friendly. Breakdast was also excellent, with a variety of Nyonya dishes and desserts. Definitely would recommend to anyone looking for an unique experience in Melaka."

"It is right next to the famous Jonkor street and easy access to all the main attractions in Melaka. It's an older house revamped to be a two stories hotel with about 9 rooms fitted in. As expected the rooms in the middle have little to no sunlight and relies on small internal garden section to get some lights in. The room it self is not bad and the water pressure is very good. However the room itself is a bit old and the towels needs refresh. "
