"Apartment was quite pleasant. Clean, tidy and seemed comfortable.
Unfortunately it was the noisiest place I’ve ever stayed in. Other residents were extremely loud, heels clattering upstairs, drunken shouting at all hours and the noise from the Main Street outside was nothing short of horrendous all night long so we had no sleep."

Stayed 31 Oct–1 Nov 2025 at Any One Apartments (booked via Hotels.com). The experience was disappointing from arrival: waited ~15 minutes outside due to lack of staff support and found access confusing with multiple locks. The listing was misleading—what I expected to be a self-contained apartment had key facilities (sofas/TV) in a communal area, and the room itself was very small. The shower was lukewarm and the holder broken, so it had to be handheld. The bed was too small for a 6-ft adult....

Arrived late Friday evening, no bother getting a table in the pub downstairs for food- they don't take table reservations, so I wasn't at a disadvantage. Good wide choice on the menu and attentive service.
There was a nightwatchman for after hours- what a treasure! He showed me how to access once the pub was closed, helped me empty the bags from the car and carried them to our room all with a friendly, nothing was too much trouble approach. A real asset to the Old...

"Definitely not a 4 star property. It was decent but not great. It is the only place I've ever stayed where the wifi signal doesn't even reach the 2nd floor - we couldn't use it at all. The floor squeaked and creaked with every step. I understand that it's an older building but it wasn't ideal."
