"Front desk Staff should be more friendly "

"Casa Loreto is a beautifully renovated old hacienda, elegant, sophisticated and timeless. We stay six days and enjoyed the pool, and steam bath. Our room had a patio with a hot tub. The hotel is located about a 25 minutes walk from the Main Plaza and Montejo Avenue. One complaint is their restaurant, it is not good and not recommended. "

"This is a very outdated and ugly hotel. The only thing good about it is the location. Rooms messy, lighting terrible throughout, AC noisy, dining room ugly and dirty."

"The best thing about the hotel was the friendly staff and the location. The beach facing balcony was also worth the extra cost. However, it stays windy and if you are a light sleeper you will need earplugs. Bed was too hard for my taste but clean. There is no pool but you are right on the beach. The microwave and fridge were also nice to have. This is also close to the grocery store and other conveniences which includes tours to area sites nearby. Overall 3.5 stars above average. "

"The bathroom was virtually unfunctional. toilet didn't flush, the bathroom sinks didn't drain, the shower didn't drain, the shower controls didn't work, etc. I wouldn't recommend this hotel if it were the last place to stay in Merida."
