"We had a great stay at Stony Rise Lodge! We booked in advance and were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to the Executive Suite on arrival. The property is well appointed, comfortable and spacious. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast each morning. Special thanks to Donna, Dave, Ash and Roscoe for your hospitality and all the love and care that clearly goes into running this property. We would happily recommend to others and will be back! "We’ve stayed for 3 nights. This place is very quiet and serene. It’s meant for those who want to be off grid. We had cloudy nights unfortunately, and unable to experience the stars at night. However, the place requires to improve more on cleaning all windows, hood extractors, shelves, under the bed, ceiling fan in the lounge, dead insects caught in cobwebs. Bed linen, mattress protector, pillow cases were worn out. Strongly advise to buy a new set of bed linens, pillow cases and mattress...

"Only here to see Lake Eyre and The Painted Hills; wouldn’t come here for any other reason. Pub food not cheap and not great, wine selection low-quality and limited but also not cheap. "

"We absolutely loved staying here. The views though out the property where stunning, whether it be the views of the mountain from the window or the restored brewery at night soaking in the fire pit. The atmosphere was always fantastic and the staff were friendly. Was a fantastic weekend away, highly recommend. "
