Bien situé et excellent accueil

On se sent ici comme à la maison. Très bien situé, à environ 20 mns à pied de San Damiano et 30 mns du centre historique, dans un environnement de campagne. Propriétaire aux petits soins, très sympathique, parlant anglais. Bon petit déjeuner. Chambres donnant sur le jardin. On peut y rester plusieurs nuits (nous y sommes restés 3), il y a beaucoup à visiter autour. Nous recommandons vivement la maison de Julio !

Abbiamo soggiornato al B&B "All'ombra di S. Damiano" per un breve week end ad Assisi. Il B&B, collocato in una casa di campagna ottimamente ristrutturata, si trova in una splendida posizione a 10 minuti a piedi dalla chiesa di S. Damiano; anche il centro storico di Assisi è facilmente raggiungibile, sia a piedi che in auto. Abbiamo dormito in una stanza ampia e confortevole; anche gli spazi comuni sono molto confortevoli e la colazione eccellente. Molto puliti sia la stanza che gli spazi comuni. Speriamo di avere l'occasione di tornarci.

breve weekend ad Assisi

Struttura splendida, tipica casa in muratura di pietra, immersa nel verde e tra gli ulivi della collina. Di buon mattino solo il cinguettio di uccellini che rendono l'ambiente ancor più gradevole e rilassante. Gentilissimo l'ancor giovane gestore Giulio che oltre ad accoglierci, ci ha dato anche utili indicazioni per parcheggiare ad Assisi e poter cenare in un buon locale, sopratutto onesto. Simpaticissimi i suoi due amici pelosi che non disdegnavano coccole e bocconi rubati durante la colazione (premetto che io e mia moglie amiamo gli animali). Pulizia, gentilezza e privacy rispettate a dovere. Ci siamo sentiti quasi a casa. Penso che se ritorneremo da quelle parti riprenderemo nuovamente in considerazione il B&B all'ombra di S.Damiano.

Peaceful stay just outside of Assisi

The property was in a great location in the countryside, peaceful, and a short scenic walk (about 800 metres) down the hill from Assisi. If you like a bit of exercise and and can walk this distance then it is a perfect way to get to the town each day and enjoy the expanding views when you go up the hill. Our host Giulio was exteremely helpful and friendly. We had a wonderful stay in the area.

Una mini vacanza immersi nella natura

Grazio e ben curato B&B a 2-3 km da Assisi in ambiente calmo e rilassato. Giulio, il proprietario, si è mostrato molto cordiale e disponibile. Se dovessimo tornare da queste parti sicuramente chiederemo prima a lui la disponibilità di una camera. Consigliatissimo per famiglie.

Assolutamente consigliato!!!

il B&B è veramente molto bello e molto ben tenuto. E' abbastanza vicino al centro di Assisi, ma in una posizione assolutamente tranquilla e panoramica, comoda però solo se si viaggia in macchina. Le camere sono molto curate e davvero molto pulite. Giulio, il proprietario, è davvero una persona gentile e disponibile che fa di tutto per mettere gli ospiti a proprio agio. Inoltre il rapporto qualità/prezzo trovo sia eccezionale. Personalmente spero di poterci tornare presto perché siamo stati molto bene

Spettacolare casolare in pietra immerso nel verde

Vacanza bellissima. Location spettacolare ad Assisi vicina a Spello Gubbio Spoleto e Perugia. Giulio il proprietario sempre disponibile e gentile. I suoi due cani simpaticissimi e discreti. Colazione ricca a buffet. Camera pulita, accogliente e comoda. Vista impareggiabile. Ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo. Tutto perfetto!!

Easy Walk to St. Damian Church

Lots of windows in our room from which we could see Assisi at night - beautiful since the medieval walls & buildings are lit up! We found the bed most comfortable. We enjoyed talking with the staff and the manager took time to answer our questions and to show each place of interest on a map. The rooms are up one flight of stairs.

Quiet, Peaceful, and Relaxing

We stayed here for 2 nights. The location was ideal for visiting Assisi. Giulio was an amazing host. He was very helpful will telling us where to eat and what to see. He also told us where the free parking was, so it made for a more economical trip. Breakfast is included and was simple but delicious. I spent one afternoon sitting downstairs in the living room area by the fire just reading a book. It was so relaxing, and I cannot say enough wonderful things about this place!

Perfect, beautiful and tranquil place in Assisi

We loved our stay at All'Ombra di San Damiano. Everything was excellent, from start to finish. I booked it late at night for next day, as a one-night escape from Rome. Giulio sent me an email early the next morning, to confirm our arrival time that day, and to check if he should keep his dog, Lillo, away during our stay (which was not necessary, as it is a lovely dog). After I asked him for the best way to reach the B&B, he offered to pick us up at the train station, which was both wonderful. The house itself is very well taken care of, very pretty, spacious, clean, and makes you want to stay longer. It is located 5-to-7 minutes away by car from the train station, and about the same distance from the historic town (it is best reached by car or taxi). I found this to be a plus as it is away from the crowds, and an ideal place to retreat. You can reach the historic center from the house by walking between 30 to 45 minutes uphill. It is a truly beautiful walk that gives you views over Assisi's olive fields. It is great for hikers that are used to the mountain, but might be challenging for older people (my 60-something parents made it the first day, but to my disappointment, declined when I suggested we did it again the next morning). Giulio helped us out and gave us a ride, but you can also call a taxi to take you uphill, which should be around 10 EUR. Thanks Giulio, we are definitely planing to come back!!!

Sentirsi a casa!

Incantevole struttura, composta da quattro camere - tre delle quali occupate dalla mia famiglia e da una coppia di amici - alle pendici di Assisi. Bello il casolare, simpaticissimo e pieno d'attenzioni Giulio, il titolare, e il suo cagnolino Lillo, ottima la colazione. Addirittura il wi-fi funziona meglio di tanti blasonati quattro stelle! Estremamente comodi i letti (non dormivamo così bene davvero da tanto), così come accurata è la pulizia degli ambienti sapientemente ristrutturati. Vale la pena ritornarci.

Giulio é um excelente anfitrião, se empenhou em se comunicar com todos, nos recebeu muito bem, nos orientou quanto as melhores opções de acesso a Assis, e nos deu excelentes indicações de restaurantes e lugares para visitar. O B&B é muito confortável e acolhedor, o quarto é excelente e acomodou nossa família (casal e dois filhos adolescentes) com muito conforto, e tem um bom café da manhã. O local é muito tranquilo e a única dificuldade foi localizar o hotel pois o acesso que é um pouco complicado e requer um bom GPS. Excelente Custo X Benefício

TUTTO PERFETTO

Siamo stati solo una notte in questo piacevolissimo b&b. Giulio, il proprietario, è una persona deliziosa. E stato fin da subito molto disponibile indicandoci ristoranti per la cena luoghi d'interesse e rispondendo ad ogni nostra richiesta. Il b&b è accogliente e posizionato in una zona molto tranquilla. La colazione se pur semplice è abbondante. Nel complesso un ottimo b&b. Il prossimo soggiorno ad Assisi, speriamo presto, lo passeremo sicuramente ancora qui.
