Parking is available in nearby municipal pay and display car parks - but do check with the hotel beforehand for details of which to park in as the closest is a short stay with a maximum stay of only 4 hours. There is a separate long stay car park within walking distance. Bedrooms have been stylishly brought up to twenty first century standards. Excellent breakfast. Highly recommended."

"Lovely hotel. Staff friendly and helpful. Room was small but ok , lovely big bed. Couple of things needed repair, suitcase stand broken, bathroom fan not working, toilet seat needed repairing. Happy hour on evening great. Breakfast very good both continental and cooked. "

"I stayed in the cottage in the grounds. It was well equipped for cooking , clean and comfortable as well as quiet ."

"I would like to ask for a full refund really but I know I won't get one. We were left in property on our own and told to lock up when we come and go. The sheets on the beds were dirty. Bathroom dirty. Tea and coffee in the room but no milk. We left at half 4 in the morning with little or no sleep at all. Terrible place "

"The family room was lovely and well equipped for 2 adults and 2 children. A couple of niggles in that the blind was broken in the bathroom and the rubbish bins were a bit on the small side. Staff were really lovely and nothing was any trouble. Breakfast was delicious and we had 1 meal there which was great. Lovely setting next to the river. Would highly recommend"

"Room was freezing cold, no heating on, kettle didn't work. They did offer to change our room but other room was also unheated. As check in is 2pm.We checked in at 4.40pm 14th Feb, room was icy cold. Hot water was temperamental. Room should have bern warm & water hot, Hubby had cold shower i gave that a miss.should be heated by then"

"The hotel has basic furniture, no wardrobes or drawers for putting personal items out of view. The wash basin sink took ages to empty. The kettle had no filter so would take longer to switch off. Breakfast food was always slightly overcooked, especially bacon and sausages. Apart from these niggles it was clean, comfortable bed (very large) changed regularly.
