"The hotel is beautiful! It is decorated in an updated yet traditional venetian style, which is perfect and adds to the atmosphere. The hotel is set in a historical palace, but has all the comforts of a modern five-star hotel. The staff are friendly and very attentive, they helped us several times with recommendations and ordering a taxi. "Great suite! Close to many restaurants, the canal, etc. We were up on the top floor and it was quite difficult to carry our luggage up/down three flights of stairs (this stay was at the end of a two week trip with teens). Other than that, it was very nice!"

But the hotel was already expensive, and we did not expect a 56.00 Euro service charge to be added to our bill. "This is a quaint little boutique hotel. Very good bathroom. Rooms exceptionally with limited lighting. Staff VERY helpful. Be aware- rooms upstairs, now elevator. Staff carried our bags up and down. Location was 4 min walk from a couple different water taxi/publix transports. 15 min walk to st marks. Would definitely recommend"

"Great location. They gave excellent instructions as to utilizing the vaporretto from the train station. It was a short walk to the Hotel Ala where we checked in. It was another short walk to the actual very modern room at RF. From there we had easy to Saint Mark’s Square, shops all over the place and easy access to water taxis.
