It’s called Travelers Rest and I didnt get a good rest. There were only 5 cars in the carpark, 3 of which I'm guessing were staff cars, one was my car and one was another guest. From the whole hotel they put me in a room opposite the other guests which sounded like a large, VERY loud family with a dog. I woke up everytime time I left and entered the room as the walls here are paper thin. I could hear their TV all night and i'm confused why the staff did not space out the guests correctly. Noise was a major issue from the other guests and the kitchen sounds. Also no iron, I asked for an iron there was none provided.

The staff were nice enough, but gee…. We didn’t want to spend much time there. Tired common areas, group of residents sitting out the back drinking and smoking. Dark corridors to rooms. Room smelt stale. Windows didn’t open. Growth on wooden window frame. Cobwebs around bathroom window and ledge. Note said to you blue or black face washers provided so as not to stain with makeup etc, but none provided (we take our own). Thought we would save some money not staying in the Hunter as not too far to drive. Probably should have spent the extra $$

The owners/managers have done a lot of work on the entrance area - painting, nice and bright colours, pictures etc. plenty has been done to improve the rooms and the general look of the place

Close to amenities. The property is dated and no one cleans under the bed. No service of the room. Poor repair work in bathroom. The air conditioner is noisy and the fan squealed until it stopped. Once reset it worked again.
