"Rooms were nicely decorated however for a 5* resorts I was expecting the bathrooms to be modern and beautiful. They were not! And also we found (we had 3 rooms) mould in all showers. Reception and staff from La Mesa were very friendly however staff at the pool bar were not nice and cocktails were not up to the quality we expected from again a 5* resort. Very noisy due to school hols and kids take over all amenities. We will not be back as it didn’t provide value for our money and it was not a 5*...

"Hotel centrally located. 1-2 blocks from Four Mile Beach and a few blocks from the stores and restaurants. Ideal. Free parking. Small pool area but made to look like a beach. Small “spa” room. Breakfast buffet $40 and also small and limited choices so we skipped."

"We stayed in a beautiful 3 bedroom Villa. It was perfect for our family of 7. Hotel staff was wonderful. Great looking property and fabulous pool area. Location is less than ten minutes from central Port Douglas. Access to the beach. We will definitely return for a longer stay!"

"The staff we checked in with were amazing. Our luggage had been left behind at Melbourne airport and the staff were so accommodating and helped us with supplies of amenities that we needed while we waited for our luggage to arrive. The staff"

"Amazing modern, spotlessly clean spacious apartment. In a fantastic location with beach and main front street of Palm Cove 2 mins walk away. Huge wrap around balconies lovely to sit out on.
Great sized heated swimming pool.
Special thanks to Gerhard Jnr on reception for fantastic communication and help. When our tumble drier wasn’t working and couldn’t be fixed, we had a new one delivered quickly. Also appreciated a late check out.
