"The Lord Nelson was a great stay! We were in town for a concert and were nice and close to dining, coffee, nightlife, and the public gardens. When we got to our room we discovered we were upgraded to a suite with a full kitchenette, and living room area. The property does a great job of blending the historic elegance with modern finishes. Great city views from our sixth floor room!"

"Staff are accommodating and very friendly, always ready to help you. The property is not in downtown but very walkable, a good 15 minutes walk on a sunny and beautiful day. Also very near the Halifax Citadel and Museum of Natural History."

"The service and quality of the hotel was exceptional. We were welcomed by the owner at breakfast. She was friendly and made our visit extra special. The breakfast quality was superb. Great selection of eggs, meat, vegetables, pancakes and French toast. Selection of breads and pastries and good coffee. The pool and hot tub was also well maintained. I would stay again! "

"The property was very well groomed, freshly cut grass, neat driveway and office. The bathroom area reflected care taken with towels, sink/ tub fixtures. It was great to have a small frig, microwave, coffee/tea making appliances. Table, chairs, bed and dresser are very tasteful too. Everything that you might need has been provided. The breakfast area by the office is cottage chic. There were several delicious breakfast choices. Use of free kayaks, paddles, life jackets are available at the office...

"Ein traumhafter Aufenthalt! Das liebevoll eingerichtete Zelt mit vielen Details hat uns sofort begeistert. Auf dem Gelände gibt es einen kleinen Trail, man kann am Fluss entspannen, auf der Terrasse die Ruhe genießen oder im Hot Tub abschalten – einfach perfekt. Die Umgebung ist wunderschön, wir wollten gar nicht mehr weg. Eine der besten Unterkünfte, die wir je hatten. Klare Empfehlung – mehr als 5 Sterne, wenn es möglich wäre!"

"Mike and Adele are excellent, professional hosts. They called us prior to arriving to make sure we were ok. They even turned off the light in the backyard so we could watch the aurora borealis despite the fact that we fell asleep at 8:30 pm. Ha. Mike accommodated our gluten-free dietary needs and served a tasty, filling breakfast. Lastly, the bed in our room was very comfortable and made for a great night’s sleep.
