"La colazione era molto buona. La camera al primo piano molto rumorosa, sentivo passare la metro con le pareti che tremavano. Per il resto era una stanza molto pulita, ma sopratutto grande"

"This place was good, great location in Paddington. I room was a little small, but it did its job for what I wanted. The staff were very nice and helpful. The rooms and property were clean. I stayed for 5 nights and would stay again if it was for only a couple of nights."

"The hotel has cctv and a small lift. The communal carpet on my floor was dirty. My double bedroom room was small and very basic, with an extremely cramped toilet and shower area. The shower was so compact it was nearly impossible to step into. The room had a window which I could open or close. It also had a wardrobe, side table and a television which I did not use . There were no tea making facilities. The bedding was clean, and I generally slept well due to minimal traffic noise....

"To be honest, I was disappointed with the value of my stay. The staff was EXCELLENT and there were no cleanliness issues, but here are my main complaints: A/C system didn't work, the lights in the ceiling were burnt out, the water in the shower went boiling hot to freezing cold without warning, the bed was surprisingly uncomfortable, and the doorknob was loose. I think I paid $250 for the room, so I was surprised by its condition, and was pleased to have only stayed one night. Lovely location...

"Royal Eagle Hotel, Paddington – Review I rarely write reviews this blunt, but the state of the Royal Eagle Hotel really warrants it. The maintenance is, frankly, appalling. Bedroom windows don’t lock—despite some having direct access via a flat roof, which is a basic security failure. The showers are so small and awkward that even someone the size of a hobbit would struggle. TVs hang off the walls at angles that look like they’re about to give up entirely. Rooms are tired, scruffy, and crying...

"You will not get any sleep in this hotel when people are awake. The floors creak from above and next door when anyone is walking. You can hear guests very well thru the walls. The only good thing about the hotel is the location and large bathtubs. They have no refrigerator. Do not stay here if you want to get any rest on your trip."

"This was a very disappointing stay due to the renovations that was taking place during the two days I was there and fire alarm mishap. I was advised when I arrived that the water would be turned off from 12:00 to 5:00PM both days due to renovations, rooms were not as viewed on website. Rooms were run down and dark. Restaurant closed due to renovation. Fire alarm went off and on during 2nd night for over an hour due to malfunction that was not fixable until maintenance arrived. All guests were...

"This hotel is in a great location if you're looking to travel in/out of Paddington Station. The room was good sized (typical UK hotel rooms tend to be a bit on the small side). We just had the continental breakfast which was perfect."

"An older building that has been updated so rooms are modern. Everything worked wonderfully and I appreciate the shower (push a button to turn on/off) the lighting (3 different levels of dimmer) and AC (buttons for temp and fan speed). Well done and small things like a cubby space near bed for phone, etc really make the difference. Super helpful and friendly staff there 24/7 and great value stay in a central area."
