"The hotel overall was very good. We booked it via Expedia for 3 adults and one15 yrs old, but it was appare fly a triple room so they charged us for an extra adult even though there was not really sleep space for 4 people. I’m not sure if the confusion was at the Expedia website or the property but they should either change the children definition age or at least warn tourists about it. "

"We took the Hida from Nagoya and as soon as you exit, it is a shoe 5-minute walk to your right. The check in was through a kiosk and staff was there to assist if needed. After checking in, the staff explained all of the features of the hotel including the barefoot policy, the onsen and the included nightly ramen service. "Good stay at the hotel. The Japanese rooms were amazing and we had a great vegetarian kaiseki dinner and really enjoyed the onsens. Would defintely recommend staying at this hotel. Only issue is transport to the location is a bit difficult if you don't have a car. We were aware of this and messaged ahead to ask about the availability of the hotel shuttle bus to the bus stop for our departure. "Staying here was one of the highlights of our entire trip. The view from our bedroom was absolutely stunning - I miss it already. The giant windows made for such a special place experience.
