Sesoko-Jima Island Pet-friendly Holidays

The property was lovely, however our room had a strong stench from the humidity in the building. Unfortunately, I got sick from the breakfast buffet; I had the salted salmon, scrambled eggs and rice with a salad and immediately vomited after. We ate off property for the remaining days we stayed. The resort is beautiful and picture worthy with lots of activities to stay entertained, however the room smell and buffet quality made me rethink the overall care and attention to detail.

Over all it was a really nice place BUT There were too Many rules as to when and where you could eat. If without a car you had to rely on the very expensive restaurants in the hotel. Their convenience store had no sandwiches to get you through if you missed a meal schedule at the resort restaurant. Plus no room service. Also breakfast time got so crowded that you had to often wait 20 minutes or more to get seated. You really need a car to have a great time as I had to spend much money on taxis back and forth to places. Also they had no store providing medicine essential for medical problems one might expect in a tropical area. Also if you wanted a beach chair in the shade because you are sensitive to sun, you had to pay an extra 4000 yen for the chairs. Still, in spite of these conditions I would return again because the staff were very nice and I have a better idea of how to prepare.

The pool needs redoing and area around the pool floor needed painting. The gym was too small and hot. The Executive lounge was amazing and staff was the best. Our suite view was spectacular and loved our room. Overall, enjoyed our stay. Just a bit far from everything tho. The restaurant food was too expensive. The valet girls were the best.

One of the best properties I've experienced. The staff was extremely kind and helpful, the food was great, the property and experiences offered by the hotel were so much fun. 10/10. highly recommended.

Of all the resorts I’ve stayed in, this is by far the worst. While it is pretty, shiny and new, that is the extent of its benefits. It is overrun by rules and children (5 and below). The spa does not have a sauna, separate pool or showers and offers very limited services. The pools are open during business hours, so don’t think you’re on vacation/holiday here! Wrap up outside activities BEFORE sunset. There is no room service and there is no food available past 8:30pm (2030) without a reservation. I think they call fries food and that is a joke. The beach: this is what you pay for when you want beach-access resort, right? Wrong, there are hours of when it’s open (again, business hours) and they give you the smallest “swimming area”, smaller than their pools. And of course, it is overrun by children. Don’t think you will come here and enjoy the ocean and swim laps, not happening. The food I was able to get was lackluster and not worth the plate it was served on. But I will say, everyone is very sweet when they’re telling you, “no” “sorry, no” “you can’t” “we don’t have”. They’re very sweet to basically be useless and inadequate.
