"Easy 10 out of 10. If you can speak a little bit more Japanese, you will easily get 11 out of 10 for your own experience. Super friendly staffs and modern deco. I think we will recommend this resort to anyone going to the Okinawa."
"Plenty of space, amazing view, and comfortable furniture. We enjoyed the peacefulness of the neighborhood and all the property’s thoughtful supplies for exploring the local area."

"Absolutely outstanding hotel, staff are excellent and cannot do enough to assist and compliment your stay. Area around hotel is quiet and very scenic. Restaurants are second to none with gourmet class food. Okinawa is paradise on earth with plenty of worthwhile excursions in the local area."
"The people at the front desk did an excellent job, checking us in. They were very friendly, professional, and we’re very helpful in terms of helping us with the shuttles to and from the airport."
"I really enjoyed my stay here! It was my first time at a hostel in Japan. The showers could be cleaned in between people and that could be over demanding but when girls wash their hair, it tends to stay in the shower. If shower shoes were an option, that would be great! Other than that, check in was super easy, as well as check out and the staff were super nice and friendly with big smiles! If I do backpacking again, I’ll definitely stay here again! I’ll bring my own shower shoes too LOL! "
"This hotel had a huge room for a Japanese hotel. Usually hotel rooms are the size of the bed with a bathroom. Size was comparable to USA hotel room. During certain hours, hotel offers free tea and popsicles. There is a beach right next door. Not the best beach, but it is next door. For a fee, there is a rooftop infinite pool with amazing views. Staff at the pool was nice enough to let us stay past hours to watch a fireworks show. We really appreciated that. Parking was a little crazy. They have underground parking and a street level parking lot. Usually all the spots are taken by late afternoon. But don’t worry, they have a valet at no extra charge. There are decent restaurants near by. There is Aeon supermarket that is walkable. Overall, great place to stay. "
"I really enjoyed my stay here. I appreciated having a great breakfast available every morning. Being on the 9th floor gave me a terrific sunrise view. "
"Hotel Nikko Alivila – 5 Stars
Hotel Nikko Alivila is a fantastic resort in a prime location, situated mid-island in Okinawa. It offers the perfect balance—easy access to the quieter, scenic northern areas, yet still close enough to Naha for cultural sites like the Okinawa Peace Memorial Museum and some downtown excitement.
The hotel itself is packed with amenities and activities. There’s a stunning white sand beach with crystal-clear water, paddleboarding, Sea-Doo rentals, and even tubing behind boats. The pool is spotless, and the tiki bar serves great cocktails in a laid-back setting.
We stayed on the top floor of the North Wing, and the sunset views over the chapel were absolutely breathtaking—don’t miss it if you can book this room!
Dining is excellent. We tried the Ryukyu/Japanese restaurant on-site, and the food was both authentic and delicious. Just next door, there’s a shopping center with a cozy coffee bar (surprisingly playing country western music!) and some great casual eats like burgers, burritos, and sandwiches.
The staff were phenomenal—genuinely attentive, friendly, and abundant. You feel very well taken care of from the moment you arrive.
One tip: rent a car. There’s no public transit nearby, and taxis or Ubers would add up quickly. I was a bit nervous about driving on the left side, but it was easy to get used to—and totally worth it for the flexibility.
In summary, this hotel exceeded expectations. "
