Was gonna do 4 stars, but since I've been traveling to China for business the last 15 years this JW is actually excellent. The building's architecture and interiors are nice and something that always indicates attention to detail for me is daily fresh flowers everywhere. The gym is fairly equipped, and the staff are gracious and do their best to accommodate your needs. Subway is close by and the breakfast buffet is pretty good but leans to local tastes, which I like, more than Western dishes. Didn't try the Grill or Man Ho.

This is a great hotel in the business district of Zhengzhou. If you are ever traveling to Zhengzhou this will never disappoint. With over 50 stories of room with a great view of the city from their grill. It had great food for all meals.

I booked a business room for one night and it was fantastic, the business lounge was having everything you might need, various drinks, very good food and deserts, the room was very clean and well organized and the view incredible.

Very nice property, with a very accommodating staff. Our family loved the breakfast buffet, and the short walk to the mall. Rooms were comfortable, and provided a wonderful view. Given the opportunity, we would definitely stay again.

Did not have non-smoking room. I had reserved one. Some event was going on and my taxi could not get close to the hotel to drop me off. I called the hotel and they told me to walk 1/2 a mile to check in. This is a J.W. Marriott. They should have sent someone to help me with my bags. Totally disappointed and will not stay here again. I expect much more from this chain. The overall service was bad and they offered me nothing to compensate for either issue.

Good service and clean room
Chole the guest manager was very attentive and quick with my check in, and she followed up with my after my check out. Very nice service. Room is nice and clean. Definitely will stay here next time.

I was recently on a trip to China and stayed at JW Marriott Hotel Zhengzhou for two nights. The hotel is located from the 38th floor and up, on a landmark "Big Corn" building (nicknamed by it shape). It was amazing experience at JW Marriott @ Zhengzhou. For a 5-star hotel like this at a cost of less than $100 per night, it was a steal!!

The location is great and overall the staff is friendly, but lacking in English fluency (surprising for western hotel) which affects their ability to offer good service. The wifi network is archaic. Very slow and unreliable, which makes it challenging for connectivity, conducting business transactions and video-conferencing.

The hotel is in excellent condition but they shut the air conditioning off or significantly reduce the use of cool air conditioning it in the morning making the rooms warm and uncomfortable, its a problem with many hotels in China

I used to travel a lot and this was one of the best experiences I have ever had. Great location, jewel view as well as well trained staff, friendly environment, shinny floor and furnitures all are the signs of wise management system.

Oasis in China's Industrial Heartland
A healthy expectation for a gritty, industrial environment should accompany trips to Henan Province in China as this is one of the world centers for heavy industrial manufacturing which is growing, and industrializing very quickly. The JW Marriott Hotel Zhengzhou provides a shockingly stark contrast to what you find outside its walls. The architecture, finishes, materials and quality are outstanding! The rooms are spacious, luxuriously furnished, and very well thought out. As fine as the physical asset is, the world class service was even more surprising. I was there for three nights. Every employee was friendly, gracious and professional. Most seemed to be address me by name from my second day on and went out of their way to make sure that my experience was the best that it could be. Both the service and the property here are (at least) on par with my experiences at Four Seasons, Peninsula and other 5 * properties. My experience vastly exceeded my expectations, and I am a (spoiled) traveler with high standards. I enthusiastically endorse this hotel and will definitely stay at this property next time I am in Zhengzhou.
