"I loved this hotel because i was looking for peace and solitude away from crowds and it was just that. Its location about 40mins by cab from the Bund in the middle of a park in a residential área. The staff don't really speak proper English but that's the case in many hotels in China. The concierge Anthony and Bruce were great a speak great English. No foreign TV like CNN, BBC etc"

"The hotel is not well equipped with online booking system (hotels.com), I booked the first night through hotels.com and showed up, but they told me there was no records about my reservation because their system needs someone manually input reservations from oversea booking systems. Very frustrated first night experience, took them more than a hour to finally check me in."
