"The owners are great. The property is not. The place is cold for winter, the thermostat is locked, but if you call the owners they will adjust it up some. The place has a smell. It is like a wet dog or mold. The bed is hard, the pillows are flat, and the sheets are thin. "It's a calm, casual place with class. Good restaurant. But its more a mix of old and modern than the photos makes you believe. Bedrooms and restaurant are in moderne additions, but it works well."

"Loved this hotel. Its location is amazing - up in the hills and so tranquil but still only a 10 minute drive from Chaves. The hotel has so many fruit trees and herbs - I was able to pick fresh mint to make mint tea whilst I was there. Will definitely return!"
