The hotel is very well maintained with nice helpful staff. The hotel is well positioned to have a taste of local life, also within walking distance to Shaanxi History Museum and Big Goose Pagoda. The hotel double charged us by mistake, but sent back refund very quickly after email communication.

On arrival, I found the shower water running very slowly, with which I could barely take a shower. I asked the staff to get it repaired the next morning. When I got back in the evening, it was not fixed. I asked for it again when I went out for dinner. No actions taken. Finally, the duty officer offered to move me to another room the next day, which was the last night of my stay. I saw foreign objects (in observable size and observable amount) in my glass of grapefruit juicy when I had breakfast in the restaurant. I asked the captain to check it out. He took it, had a discussion with his colleagues, but never came back to me.

Peaceful and convenient hotel
Great location. Unfortunately my reservation did not include breakfast, so I can Irvin review the food. Other than that, I was comfortable, clean and my room was at the far end of the hall, and, therefore, quiet. I requested non-smoking room; I got it. No hint of cigarette smoke anywhere in the room. I would stay here again. It is very close to the Pagoda and to shopping- Saga Mall, Metro Supermarket and Walmart. It's also located near two universities, a bus and subway line. I would not recommend eating at the Muslim restaurant close by because the food was not very good. I've eaten better dumplings elsewhere.

The quality of the food from an international hotel chain is really below standard regardless of whether it is the buffet breakfast or the paid dinner at the cafe. Don't expect fresh seafood as they are really tasteless. Variety of the buffet spread is really limited and repetitive daily only rotate a few dishes on alternate day. The freshness of the hairy crab that they advertised so temptingly on their posters is really not even the standard of a road side store. If you intend to stay in this hotel, take your meal somewhere else. Nonetheless, it is quite centrally located in the shopping belt, a 15 mins walking distance to the popular Chang An road

Lovely staff made stay great
Special shoutout to Managers Guo and Jamie Chen who really help make the stay very comfortable. After a rather stressful journey from train station to the hotel on a very wet Friday night, Manager Guo upgraded our room and gave great advise on where to go eat local around the area late night. Next day, Jamie Chen was instrumental in securing us train tickets to our next Chinese stop as we did not anticipate that train tickets could be sold out if we do not buy early enough. WIFI in the hotel is rather weak despite Manager Guo getting the tech department to look into it on our floor and in our room. Hotel is a tad dated and could do with a little refreshing but the staff kept hotel very clean, very comfortable and service was top notched. Location of hotel is a little far from the main shopping dining main street but still very accessible to attractions.

Nice hotel
Close to the Xiao Zhai and Big Good Pagoda area, good for sightseeing and walking around when the city isn't engulfed by the smog. Lots of cheap eats around that open late, so even if you get in late, you'll be able to find something to eat. Comfortable rooms with soft and firm pillows to choose from. Would stay again for business or pleasure.

Was in Xi'an for work and the hotel was a good value for what it offered. Breakfast was pretty impressive with a lot of Chinese and western options. The carpet in the room was rather stained, and I think the rooms would look much better if they got rid of the carpet. Everything else was fine, and it was nice to have a gym that provided a wide variety of equipment as it was more of a regular gym that opened to the public.

The concierge staff and breakfast were outstanding. hotel is nice but, they turn the A/C and even if it is hot in Nov. (when I stayed) The room was hot and they said open a window. Open a window. come on

It is a nice hotel with a comfortable bed. Nice breakfast buffet with a good selection of food items. Dinner time was a bit too short (one day I went at 8pm and there were almost nothing left). Close to top attractions in town. Nice restaurants within 100 m from hotel entrance. Down filled quilt was too warm for the room and there are no thin blankets.

Room says 2 double beds but don't be fooled
2 double beds mean 2 nice size single beds so if you have 3 in a room that it's so not comfortable- feel a bit cheated as I had 2 bad nights for sleep- thanks holiday inn

1 night to see dinner show and terra offa warriors. Asked for a. NOn smoking room- the floor was smelly and the room although did not smell of stale smoke did smell. Think it was the pollution. Had to get out of it to main lobby to avoid it.

A very comfortable hotel with helpful staff. I recommend buying the breakfast at the hotel as there are not many options nearby.

Close to food, close to the main city. A few km walk from main attractions though which makes getting a bus a bit inconvenient. Airport is quite far from the main city so prepare around 150RMB for the taxi fare. If Taxi tries to charge you much more than this, you are getting ripped off. Staff were friendly and accomodating and rooms were cleaned daily with a high standard. Highly recommended!

Stayed for 2 nights at this hotel & we liked it's proximity to the Big Pagoda, shopping & restaurants. Nice hotel. It's near the city landmarks w/c was easy access by taxi. We love the breakfast buffet with lots of choices. Room was clean & beds were comfortable. We liked the gym & pool as well. Highly recommendable.

Amazing Hotel at low price
The hotel is great. We were three on a vacation and we loved the rooms and the ambiance. The lobby is big and hotel has a gym, business center, swimming pool... Its close to the Giant Goose Pagoda about 1 km. The staff and the people at the concierge were very helpful. Breakfast is paid. We stayed here for 2 days and visited the Tang Paradise park, Giant Goose Pagoda, Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum and the City Wall. I would recommend people to visit Xi'an on weekends as the city wall hosts evening shows from Friday to Sunday. There are public buses with a constant fare to go different places and the bus stops are close by. There are groceries nearby if one wishes to buy fruits. I would also recommend cycling on the city wall. It is a great experience for first timers. My mom cannot drive a bicycle so we rented a double bicycle and it was a great experience for her. Tang Paradise is a cultural theme park with musical shows based on chinese themes. All in all, it was a wonderful trip.

Modern hotel at central location
The Holiday Inn is a great hotel close to the metro (a 15 minute walk -- when you leave the hotel turn left, walk below the first pedestrian crossing that you can't reach, cross to the other side on the second crossing, then continue along the street until you hit the huge intersection and the metro is a little to the right). The hotel is modern and the breakfast is tasty (make sure that you book a package that includes breakfast, otherwise it's a little on the expensive side). There's good food option right "behind" the hotel (when you leave the hotel turn left and then left again, walking around the hotel and then down the street). The gym is great but the pool was closed twice without notice when we wanted to go for a swim. The business center was not working (the printer was out of toner and they were unable to fax). And there was also no coin-op laundry and it would have cost us more than the price of new clothes to wash a load. These three points aside, it was a great hotel and we enjoyed the stay.

Comfortable hotel for business in Xian
Helpful reception staff who spoke decent English. They moved me to another room without fuss when my original room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke (despite being on a non smoking floor). Decent buffet breakfast. You can easily hail a taxi from outside the hotel into the old town. A one way journey costs about RMB 12-14.

Horrible experience.
I stayed at this hotel 4 nights. The room was very hot and the air conditioner did not work at all. The rooms are controlled by a central air conditioner even though there is controls inside each room. The controls in the room do not do any thing. I guess they are just for a show. The room was very hot and they would not turn on the central air. I could not sleep because the room was hot. Also in the gym if you want water, you have to buy it. I didn't take my wallet to the gym. So, they would not give me any water. This is very ridicules for a hotel gym. All other hotels I stay at, provide water in the gym.
