Location is excellent overlooking a lake and garden. Really enjoyed the stay at this hotel. Staff is really supportive, responsive and tries their best to help out. Room is good size and regular cleaned. I will definitely stay again at this hotel.

Wonderful hotel

The hotel staff were very friendly and attentive to details. Beautiful swimming pool and nice gym on the 5th floor. My 3-year-old son especially loved the koi pond in the lobby. We were pleasantly surprised to have a room service robot deliver our takeouts. Definitely recommend this hotel for its excellent service and central location

Hotel environment was nice with good breakfast spread and even had supper. Nice swimming pool and gym. Good view of the lake. Overall comfort could be better though. The bed was too soft and throughout the night in the room I stayed in, there were thudding noises which affected my sleep. On checking out, the hotel could not get a taxi for me which was really disappointing as I was rushing to catch my flight back.

Bad choice.

Room was nice but I have stayed at the hotel more than a 100 nights before COVID but now it is not the hotel for North Americans. No more HBO, Dicovery channel CNN which is not a really a good news Chanel. They took all the western food off there menu. Great breads at the buffet. They just changed more to just Chinese’s after Covid. Long story short stay at a hotel that you know the name. This was my last stay at the Lakeside. But the people are nice.,

Great Location and Excellent Service

We spent 4 nights on a family holiday, drawn by its location and the indoor swimming pool that offers a wonderful view of the city center. The pool is clean, well-managed, and quiet; we enjoyed our daily exercise there. The staff are friendly and attentive to details, providing complimentary water bottles and noodles after 10pm, along with some garment items to assist you. You can always ask for help. Special thanks to Henry and Sia who assisted my young child and elderly parents. Accessing the Wi-Fi was not straightforward unless you have a China Mobile number. When I called the reception, I was told that the password is the last 6 digits of the check-in ID. Overall, it was a great experience and we would love to visit again

Certainly not a 4.5 star hotel. Not sure how that rating was managed. The type of clientele says it all. Loud, smoking in hallways, slamming doors all through the night. Even housekeeping was yelling at each other. I had to change hotels. Walls paper thin and you can hear every door close in the hallway. Rooms outdated. Staff was very nice though. Would not stay here again.

Staff are so friendly and engaging. They attended to every details. Very welcoming! The room is very comfortable, clean and QUIET! Great services! Lots free bottled water! Gourment cookies and treats every day! Free midnight snack every night! Great location! Next to a big Lake, I was able to do my morning runs. Took buses to many attractions. Cost $0.50USD per ride. Many restaurants and couple markets nearby. Love the hotel! Love Xiamen, China! People are so friendly! They City is so safe, clean, lots green and flowers! I was there running Xiamen Marathon (1/6), stayed one week in Xiamen, before traveled to Vietnam for Ho Chi Minh City (1/13). I stayed at Xiamen International Conference Center Hotel near the marathon start and finish line for three nights, then Lakeside Hotel Xiamen Airline for three nigths. Wonderful experience at Lakeside Hotel Xiamen Airline! Hope to return again with my husband!
