Blue – A Modern Hotel, an Ascend Collection Hotel

"Our room was clean and comfortable but we had several issues with the bathroom. Saturday morning we reported that the toilet seat was loose, the bathroom sink was not draining and that the shower doors would not stay shut. We were told it would be taken care of by the time we returned. The toilet seat was fastened but nothing else was addressed. No room service with fresh towels, coffee pod refills or tissues since there were only 2 in the box. I mentioned the remaining 2 issues at checkout this morning and was told there was no notes in the file about these things. On a positive note the beds and linens were super, the massage chair was a big hit and the location has lots of restaurants nearby. The manager and staff were extremely friendly and helpful with check in. Fresh baked cookies were a treat. Nice coffee machines in the lobby. Only limited baked goods and some fruit were offered for breakfast."

"For me entering a hotel a have welcoming staff it’s essential. It a great feeling to be greeted and answered all questions. I was amazed that the ladies at the front desk both speak Spanish. Isha explained everything with so much patience and then our room was excellent. Looked like a small apartment with mini kitchen and even a dishwasher. Breakfast was included and to my surprise it was a complete breakfast. Large variety of waffles, eggs and bacon, oatmeal with all the fixings, yogurt, cereal , fresh fruit coffee and tea. The ladies working at the breakfast area Leyda and Erica are amazing, they are what good customer service means. We are now planning to go back."

"Staff and amenities were great including the pool. Breakfast was a night touch and good location. Property is a bit worn along with furnishings. Staff was wonderful and always willing to assist. Definitely clean but the property shows signs of fatigue in the furnishings and some faulty equipment in the rooms such as the mounted hair dryer. Beds were comfy. I would stay here again but would encourage a refresh in the bedrooms/bathrooms which are sorely needed."

"Would write a negative review if I could. I’m a lifetime Marriott Gold member and am appalled, not to mention glad I don’t travel much anymore. Staff was unreal. Our booking was for three, a King bed and sofa bed. Lied telling us we booked an accessible room with a King bed. Our son had to sleep on the floor after spending nearly two hours trying to figure it out, with no help from the staff who only brought us one comforter and a pillow for the floor. Staff threatened to call police and told me not to put my hands on her when I mentioned my Latina fire was coming out after she hung up on me twice from the room so I went to see her in person. Shower water was awful and got all over because the showerheads were pointing at the curtain and could not be readjusted. Bathroom and room were not clean with spiders and debris on the carpet. King bed was comfortable. Floor was not. And it was gross. Air conditioning very loud. Amenities like the gym downstairs were very nice but we did not get to enjoy since we spent all our time trying to get the room we booked and jetted out as soon as we possibly could in the morning."
