Winemucca conveniently falls in the middle of the state which, when driving through, makes this an easy town for gassing up, grabbing a bite or overnight sleep.

It's exactly half way between Idaho and California and gives us a nice place to sleep and rest to break up our 13 hour drive in to two 6 1/2 hour days.

It had more options than Wells, Nevada. If you are driving from anywhere north of Nevada, stop in Winnemucca.

Winnemucca is typically not a destination for us and really a mid-point stop to and from CA.
"For an older property, this was nicely renovated. My only negative observation was that I wish there was better weatherstripping around the door. I could see sunlight all around the door in the morning when I woke, which means the Air Con/Heater has to work harder to maintain room temps."
"Staff was friendly and helpful
Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Free breakfast was a pleasant surprise and good. Will definitely consider staying her again "
"I loved that I could park right outside our room and empty the car without having to walk a long ways or take an elevator. The woman at the front desk was very nice and professional and everything is clean."
