Perfect location
Staying for a couple of days whilst visiting friends and family. Perfect location. Comfortable and clean room. Sea view. Friendly staff. Great bar.

The beds were so uncomfortable. The room was small and a little basic. The breakfast was good but a really long wait to be served. Staff were nice enough. I wouldn’t return.

Lovely Whitstable break
We had a good stay at the hotel. Parking is free and there were plenty of spaces. The room was compact but perfectly fine and nicely decorated. Hotel decor is stylish. Reception organised a cab for us. We had drinks in the hotel but did not eat there as had other plans. It was slightly noisy in the room from guests on the floor above but that is often the case in hotels. Would stay again and would recommend.

Lovely hotel
Lovely hotel, nice staff, nice rooms although bed was a bit squeeky, Great views of the sea and great location. 2nd time here and will definitely come again.

Lovely stay
Check in was allowed an hour early as room was ready which was appreciated, check in was efficient but not what I would call friendly or welcoming just businesslike. Room was super clean, very small but great with an outside balcony. Had lunch there, seafood chowder was excellent. Everything was fine but really noisy housekeeping staff in the morning. Great to hear happy laughing staff but it was pretty loud. We enjoyed our stay and yes would stay again.

What a great hotel. 10 out of 10 all round. Staff great, room great. The sound of the sea great and to top it off. The food was outstanding. Can’t wait to stay again.

Very impressed with standard of cleanliness and decor. But narrow stairs and no lift. This would not put me off from going again but if you have difficulties with stairs its something to bear in mind, especially when carrying a suitcase. There were no car park spaces so we had to pay elsewhere.

Just a really lovely place!
This is our 2nd stay at this hotel. We came back after a lovely few days in September 2022. As last time, the staff were lovely, even though I believed that I'd already paid (thank you for the confusion Hotels.com!), there was no hassling to pay which was appreciated. The room (no. 4) was very nice with a balcony overlooking the sea, which we made full use of from first thing in the morning (I love to watch the joggers and dog walkers), to well into the evening - even though it was right at the end of September - SO lucky with the weather. The ONLY thing I would mark it down for was that the bed was not as comfortable as I'd like, but that could be a personal choice and I really don't like firm mattresses. We didn't eat at the hotel, but had fantastic meals at the Whitstable Oyster Company restaurant and Samphire, not to mention the Oyster Shed in the harbour. I'd recommend this hotel and all the places we ate!

Nice hotel, bijou rooms (reflected in price) Thought had been given to giving even cheap rooms some sea view. Our room was at the top which was a problem with an unexpected sudden health condition and no lift but we managed,

Clean and comfy.
Fabulous hotel in a perfect location. Very clean with decent facilities. Our room was VERY hot, thank goodness we had our own fan with us (although we didn't ask reception if they had one to borrow). It was a shame that the restaurant stopped serving at 4pm, but this seemed to be a common theme in Whitstable in general. We would definitely stay here again.

The staff were having an offday ...
I think that the staff were having a bad day. Tables were left uncleared and the service was very average. Great location and I will stay again if I'm down that way and give the staff a second chance.

3 nights away in Whitstable
It was a surprise 3 nights away for my parents. Hotel for them was lovely. But as an elderly couple they struggled with getting to their room in the second floor. But the reception staff were very supportive. And suggested that if my parents went back they were to call them and they would if possible arrange for a room on the first floor. Lovely hotel , lovely location and great staff

Weekend stay
Stayed for a weekend break , really pleased with all round service. Room was ample and clean for a short stay. Breakfast was good. Staff were all extremely friendly and welcoming. A real nice setting right on the seafront.

We throughly enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Continental. There service was excellent and friendly. The room was bright and airy with a lovely balcony overlooking the sea. We would definitely come back.

Nice and friendly hotel. Not part of a big chain. Convenient location, outside the main high street but in easy walking distance. Hotel bar available late on into the evening if we chose to have a late drink

Great place!
This hotel is very clean and located right on the sea front. If you gonna have breakfast (not included in price) they want to know by 8pm the night before. On site parking was limited although they do have alternatives for free close by. Loved the hotel and location. Friendly staff and great bar/restaurant area. The food was very good and cooked almost in front of you!

Great location
We chose the hotel for its location .,on the seafront. Our room was on 3 floor . Glad we only had small suitcases as we would have struggled. Our checking was fine . Picked up keys and parked several hours before we were allowed into room . It seems to be this company’s policy right across its property portfolio. Did not have breakfast as have to book before 8 pm for a slot . A bit weird . We’re on holiday so have this a miss . Lovely places nearby. The room was spotless but the bathroom was tiny . Reception staff really not interested after that . Another first for us But we would go back
