The room heating/cooling system was not affective. The pillows were uncomfortable and the mattress gave myself and my husband a bad back in the morning. The shower pressure was also terrible. The room was dated.

Great staff, but the room was cold and it wasn’t very clean (the carpet was filthy). Staff helped by supplying a plug-in heater (room heating had broken) and this helped but the floor was still too cold to stand on for long!

I now live in Durham. Revisited Whitley Bay with my husband and 2 grandsons and enjoyed the experience.Plenty for the grandchildren to do, particularly our visit to St. Mary’s Island, lighthouse and fishing in the rock pools. Tynemouth, the priory
