"Only a 1 night stay on a business trip. First class service all round. Comfy double bed and pilllows, hot shower, staff were excellent, great selection of drinks, lovely historic building in a beautiful town. Sound of church bells in the early evening was a treat. I didn’t have breakfast as I’m not a breakfast person, but there was a good offering and from what I saw looked cooked to perfection. Will visit again. Thankyou."

"Serviceable pub hotel. The rooms are dated and creaky but the bathrooms were freshened a few years ago and were fine. The beds are hard, and the carpet and furniture worn. The room was clean, however, and the staff friendly. Bottom line, this isn’t a luxury stay, but for a night or two if you need to be in Marlborough, this pub hotel is acceptable and clean."

"Good overall, but it seemed to be running on a skeleton staff of about 4 or 5 people at any time. This increased wait times and being able to find someone to help you. The restaurant ran out of 3 main items - prawns, salmon and ribs. So this limited choices. I think the prawns were a country wide supply issue - but still limited."
