"The resort is small and has a feel of luxury. The room was large and the woodwork in the room was gorgeous. The bathroom was well appointed and the veranda backed on to rainforest. The room felt very private and you are not overlooked by other guests. The pool area was very relaxing and the staff were very friendly. It felt like a private island after the day guests left at 4.30. Highly recommended, you would not be disappointed."

"You can judge quality by the quality of sunbeds. And they’ve got nice ones. Also you can tell 5 star by the quality of service received especially during breakfast as they waft around tidying plates but unnoticed as subtle. Mix up with paying twice but resolved satisfactorily. Quality products in bathroom. Definitely would stay again and recommend "
"This hotel is very well situated - easy walking to the Cairns marina, esplanade and various top restaurants. Our marina executive room had a wonderful view of the marina and mountains beyond. Walking to the city centre is also easy. Our room was well serviced by staff who were very non intrusive. The facilities are very clean. Updating the t.v. to a smart t.v. to allow access to streaming channels would be a plus.The pool is in a lovely setting, but some form of water heating would make swimming in the pool in August more inviting.

Plus as a woman in the gym on her own it would be good to either have the walking machines face the door - or have mirrored glass on the wall opposite the door so I can see what is happening behind me and who has come in. "

"This is my second time staying at this hotel. It is an easy drive to and from the train station and airport. The rooms are comfortable and spacious and you get great views of either Trinity Bay or the green mountains that border the city. It is worth ordering the delicious and varied breakfast buffet. The Esplanade walkway is close to the hotel and allows you a beautiful way to see Cairns and an easy walk to the shops, restaurants, amusement park and many other sites. The staff truly make you feel welcomed and assist you in making your visit that more enjoyable. There is free wifi and a free hourly shuttle bus to the town center. The laundry service was good and same day return if you turn it in on time. The hotel will also store your luggage before you depart Cairns so you can enjoy the town without worrying about it. I went on a week-long diving trip and was returning to the hotel and they stored the bags I didn't need and gave them back to me upon my return. This is a hotel that tries to make you feel you're at home."
