"The staff were helpful, the environment was clean, and the stay was generally peaceful with no disturbances. However, we were disappointed with the swimming pool facilities for families with children. There was no separate pool for kids, and the main pool was 1.3 metres deep. Surprisingly, the hotel had designated this pool for family and children's swimming sessions between 7:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m., which did not seem practical or safe. There were also no safety aids available, and no lifeguard...

"Room was large, comfortable and had everything you need for an extended stay. Contactless checkin instructions were a bit confusing but in the end I got to my room. The room was modern but could have used a deep clean. Hallways were very noisy due to a family in the neighbouring room (otherwise would probably not have been a problem). Onsite laundry room was not as described in the listing - only one washer/drier and no air dryers on loan and the room was not secured (lock broken). The building...

"Perfect location just outside station and near town great for exploring Cardiff"

"The Coal Exchange is a lovely old building which has been turned into a hotel with large bedrooms and bathrooms. The bed was comfortable although there was some wear showing on the headboard/ wall behind the bed(room 143). The bathroom had a large Jacuzzi bath and a rainfall shower. The toiletries provided smelt gorgeous! There were two large windows looking out onto the road beside the hotel which was surprisingly quiet. Unfortunately, because the weather was extremely hot and there was no air...

"Great location and the staff were super helpful (Richard) they have a car park that was gated and secure, watch out for the seagulls on the top floor of the car park as they are nesting there. Breakfast was excellent and a great selection. The bar service was excellent too!"

"Already knew and liked the Park Plaza brand. Cardiff’s Park Plaza exceeded our expectations. Staff all excellent, room comfortable. Grabbed a quick pre-theatre meal and wow - it was superb in eveyway (taste, presentation and value for money). A La Carte looked good too and we took a desert from there. Big shout out to George who led his team well - especially as a couple were on there first shifts…"

"Breakfast was amazing!! Totally worth it. The beautiful room in which it is located is a must see. I would recommend staying at this hotel for this reason alone. Room has a lovely soaker tub. So necessary to soak away the pains of travel."

"Very good value for an excellent location in central Cardiff. I found it a very safe place to stay as a solo traveller, with 24 hour reception and really lovely staff. The accommodation is basic but clean and had everything I needed."
