"The Coal Exchange is a lovely old building which has been turned into a hotel with large bedrooms and bathrooms. The bed was comfortable although there was some wear showing on the headboard/ wall behind the bed(room 143). The bathroom had a large Jacuzzi bath and a rainfall shower. "Overall, the location is good. However, getting to the hotel is a challenge for drivers. Due to a GPS error, I took an extra turn and was caught by a camera, resulting in a fine. Later, I spotted the brown "Marriott Hotel" signs on the road, directing me to the hotel. When driving, you don't have time to properly check your surroundings. Be extremely careful when driving! "Already knew and liked the Park Plaza brand. Cardiff’s Park Plaza exceeded our expectations. Staff all excellent, room comfortable. Grabbed a quick pre-theatre meal and wow - it was superb in eveyway (taste, presentation and value for money). A La Carte looked good too and we took a desert from there. Big shout out to George who led his team well - especially as a couple were on there first shifts…"
