Good place to stay

We stayed in Wahpeton as we traveled from SD to MN. Travelodge was a good choice. The rooms were nice and comfortable. The pool/hot tub was one of the best we saw on this trip. Staff was friendly and helpful. One thing to be aware of, they do not have elevators. If this is an issue for you, you might want to request a first floor room.

When we arrived at 3:30 there were no rooms ready yet despite check in at 3:00. They found us one shortly but others were told to come back later. The room was clean and in good condition although dated. The entire town stinks bad. Not really the hotels fault but they should lobby the city to take care of it.

Very nice staff. Pleasant to work with!! We had stayed the prior weekend and mentioned we would like a room for this visit in the same vicinity. They called us 3 days prior to check in and told us they had secured what we wanted. Very happy!! The only down side is the limited breakfast. Not much to choose from especially on a diabetic diet. But we made it work.

The beds were new thus comfortable. Has been remodeled but not updated, still had noisy window AC and exhaust fan was very old and very noisy in the bathroom. The staff at check in spent more time complaining about how tired and overworked she was than getting us checked in properly. Overall this rooms were way over priced for what you get.

I will save money and stay at Rodeway next time.

Visited with my daughter.. we picked this hotel because she likes to swim & I like to use hot tub. When we arrived staff said both were closed which was very irritating as we would have stayed elsewhere had I known. We got a call saying pool was ok to use but felt uneasy about using because was told no one had used for 2 weeks and didn't want to risk it. The room the clean but we could hear hallway noise throughout the night. I could have saved $50+ and stayed across town. Breakfast was basic but nice.

Terrible help at the front desk. She was rude and inconsiderate with my elderly father. After I intervened, she finally checked him into His room. In addition to this, the pool on-site colored my children’s hair green from bad chemistry. Rooms were relatively clean.

This hotel has AMAZING staff! They were so friendly and helpful. You can tell the hotel itself was outdated, it did have a funny smell, the rooms smelled as well. The beds were upgraded and comfortable. Bathroom had some issues, with cracked tile, grimy corners and leaky faucets. But my shower was hot, and pressure was good. They advertise a hot tub, but there was NO hot tub so that was a huge bummer for us. For $170 a night, one would think they could update their amenities. Breakfast was basic, but well stocked and I didn't leave hungry. One other complaint was the noise from the hallway, there is a large gap under the door, and very thin doors. We were woken up at 6am with yelling kids and doors slamming. Overall, with the limited options in this town, I would stay again, making sure to pack my ear plugs and leave the swimsuit at home.
