This was a good value for money 3-star hotel. Staff were excellent, the rooms were big and clean. Food options were limited but what you would expect for a 3-star hotel. Not too far to the attractions and transport is easy to organize.

Air condition was'nt working. The room we stayed in was comforta ble for 3 people. The hotel is surrounded with a beautiful garden. The staff are all friendly both in the office and the rerstaurant

Great staff but some drawbacks
We can’t fault the staff at Dzimbahwe - they were super friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The grounds are lovely with plenty of shade and beautifully kept. The mosquito nets in the rooms are probably the best we’ve ever had and the beds very comfy. It’s no doubt our fault but we hadn’t realised that Dzimbahwe is the other side of Victoria Falls town to the Falls themselves. So, wherever you want to go, you have to take a taxi. The staff were brilliant at always making sure we got one when we needed it and they don’t overcharge. But it can still add a hefty amount to your final bill. We were disappointed with the food. The breakfast buffet was very basic and wasn’t replenished at all so by 8am, all the fruit, for example, had disappeared. We ate in the restaurant one evening but the only offering was burger or chicken with chips and the chicken was really dry and unpleasant. If you want to braai, you have to order a portable one in advance and it seemed too much hassle. A trip to one of the town restaurants is going to cost $10 return (Feb 2024 price). Our room had a single light meaning part of it was in almost permanent darkness. On the other hand, it had a nice terrace at the front. So, there’s lots of good things about Dzimbahwe. It’s certainly good value compared to many places at the Falls. We were well looked after by the staff. But, if you book, take into account the location, the disappointing food provision and some little niggles with the rooms.

Guest Lodge.
The rooms are huge. Two swimming pools. Shuttle into town to the waterfalls. Breakfast was amazing. I had a T-bone steak cooked to perfection for dinner and it was only $18.

There is a van service you can use to go places and it costs $5 per ride, you also can be picked up/dropped off at the airport, spacious rooms with bathrooms and hot water all the time, they have a kettle and mini fridge as well, you can get picked up for your trips from here like Chobe day trip

Staff were super helpful. Very hot showers and very clean rooms. Mosquito nets were the best we’ve encountered in our 18 days of travel so far. Breakfast is supposed to start at 730 (some things are set out earlier such as the tea/coffee, cereal, yogurt) but it would be nice to have all breakfast options ready at 7 because some local activities require being picked up at hotel at 8 so breakfast can be a little rushed. However, breakfast options are great and differed slightly everyday. I would return to Dzimbahwe in a heartbeat. Thanks for the stay.

This is a nice place to stay for a short visit. We had a king bed room and it was comfy and clean. The bar is a convenient spot to grab a drink- but make sure you bring small bills because it’s cash only and change is hard to come by.

All the staff was wonderful! Grace, especially, was so pleasant and very helpful. The grounds were beautiful and the pool was a pleasant place to sit around. The restaurant had a small menu and specific hours, the food was tasty.

Good overall...but...
Super peaceful..relatively close to city and falls..rooms are large..staff is very friendly and helpful..only issue was a verrrrrry noisy ceiling fan..took them hours to "repair" and yet it started again in 2 hours...we had to just turn it off to sleep Be prepared!!!

We really enjoyed our 2 night stay here. We booked 2 rooms and we had this adjoining family room/kitchen area as well. Microwave. That was a pleaaant surprise. Our rooms were right by the pool which was so nice to relax by. Pretty grounds, helpful and pleasant staff. Not far from town....maybe 10 minute drive. Breakfast in morning. Would definitely recommend and stay again. Also, the setting was lovely......and restful

Great place
This place stands above the rest of lodges in Vic Falls. Why? How? The owners have made sure that they meet world class standards. The bedding clean and comfortable. Breakfast served was great. Bravo!

Lovely and affordable property with helpful and kind staff - Judy is particularly great. Good breakfast, cooked to order. I didn't use the pool, but the property overall was well kept and very green. There was a strange noise all night in the building i was in (a generator? a neighboring room's aircon unit?). It sounded like extremely rapid rock music drumming, so i definitely needed earplugs to sleep. One staff member oddly woke me up at 7am on my first day to ask me how i wanted my eggs and what time i wanted to eat. I hadn't requested breakfast yet, nor had i requested a wakeup call - it was slightly strange and disruptive. Overall a very pleasant stay!
