"An exquisitely designed property in a charming town, near Heraklion. Although it's no fault of the hotel, GPS programs insist on directing you on tiny, steep lanes to bring you to and take you from the property. Highly recommended to not rely on GPS apps. This offers small town flavor near to Heraklion with plenty of tourist sites nearby, including Knossos. Breakfast was great. We had a few pre-season hiccups which the staff endeavored to solve. "We absolutely loved our stay here and enjoyed the luxury suite. The cleanliness was fabulous and thorough each and every day. We did have to get taxis to and from the town which was €10. The reception was happy to organise these each day for us which was amazing. The pool and double sun loungers were also great with all day sun, capturing the Greek heat! "Given its proximity to the beachfront one would expect the Kastro apartments to be a lot more expensive yet they remain cheaply priced and fairly well looked after. Much of the bar, restaurant and rooftop terrace are new and the friendly and helpful staff really make it a highly recommended from me. The finishing touch was giving me a place to safely store my valuables so I could go have fun before my flight 5 hours later then even offering me a shower despite having already checked out. "
