"The room was lovely. The location excellent. Not the hotel’s fault that the city is doing sewer work on the street in front of the hotel. We did take advantage of the hotel’s parking, which is tricky to find without specific directions from the hotel. The parking facility is more than adequate for a facility within the old part of the city. I had messaged the hotel prior to our arrival to get directions to the parking which went unanswered.
Zaragoza was a wonderful city to visit and explore. We found the least amount of English spoken throughout the city. Of the many members of the staff we encountered, only two had strong enough English skills to be able to help us, and our own Spanish skills were woefully inadequate. All staff tried to be very helpful but the language gap was a significant problem.
We found having a rental car totally useless when visiting Zaragoza. Even returning the car at the main train station as planned took far longer than we could have anticipated. Should we visit again, we’ll drop the car on arrival in Zaragoza and rely on public transit and taxis for getting around the city."
