"We had the most wonderful stay at hotel Grimsborgir! The rooms were spotless and very roomy. The hot-tub was also a great addition and lovely to be able to use it in the evening after a busy day of exploring. The staff were extremely friendly and the food (both the included breakfast and paid dinner) was amazing with lots of options. The location was excellent in a nice quiet part of Selfoss. We were also lucky enough to see the northern lights from our room!!"

"We stayed here for one night, hoping to catch a glimpse of the Aurora Borealis while sleeping under the open sky. It got cloudy, so we didn’t get the spectacle we were hoping for. However, this didn’t diminish the experience of sleeping among the trees in a cozy, warm bubble. It was –2°C and it even snowed during the night, but the warm air blown into the tent, two blankets and an electric blanket made sure we stayed perfectly comfortable. "What a nice surprise. Kind of hard to find where to park. Go eat at the restaurant ….. so yummy. Breakfast was just ok, nothing spectacular. Love seeing cows and cats…..will be back. "

"All good: staff, hot bath outside (albeit a bit too hot!), very good breakfast, tea/coffee and cooking available in the lobby at all times, but the shower floor design is flawed: the water rolls into the room from under the door. And there is no fridge. In general, very good for the price."

"Wonderful cottage with all the kitchen items you need - toaster, oven, stove, coffee maker, kettle, fridge. Comfortable beds and linens, very quiet - out in the country, 20 minute drive to town (Selfoss) for groceries, restaurants, etc. The 2 family dogs are lovely. Communication was good, and no issues at check-in. Not far away from the Golden Circle route. Would highly recommend."

"Şehrin kalabalığından kaçmak için harika bir yer. Sessiz ve sakin bir ortamda yer alan kulübe oldukça temizdi. Yatak çok rahattı, çarşaflar ve battaniyeler tertemiz ve güzel kokuyordu. Mutfak küçük ama kahvaltı hazırlamak için yeterli. Akşam yemeği için kulübenin hemen yanında bir barbekü alanı var, biz kullandık ve çok keyifli oldu. Kulübenin kendine ait otoparkı bulunuyor. Ayrıca elektrikli aracınız varsa şarj edebileceğiniz bir ünite de mevcut. Yalıtımı oldukça iyi. Kışın konaklamamıza...

The location was perfect -- near a beach/bay, in a sweet village, close to a picturesque town with a grocery store and food (but far enough away for northern lights viewing), near a few horse stables, near the Golden Circle, and great for a day-trip to Vik! The bed was super comfy, and the owners were SO NICE! Great value. Would stay there again in a heartbeat! :) "

"Unser Aufenthalt war wirklich wunderbar – es sind keinerlei Wünsche offengeblieben. (es war schon der zweite). Die Wohnung ist hervorragend ausgestattet, liegt in einer schönen, ruhigen Umgebung und der Parkplatz direkt vor dem Haus war für uns besonders praktisch. Auch die Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin war ausgezeichnet – stets freundlich, aufmerksam und angenehm. Besonders begeistert waren wir außerdem von der Sauna, dem Dampfbad und dem Hot-Tub, die unseren Aufenthalt noch entspannender...

"We loved our trip to Iceland, the stay at Kerbyggd really was the icing on the cake. Exceptionally clean, modern houses with everything you need for a self catering stay. Jumping in the hot tub whilst surrounded by snow was a big highlight, we even saw the northen lights out front too. And whilst we were there at the end of October and had a fair amount of snowfall the houses were super warm and well insulated. The house is in a great spot for exploring the golden circle, really quite central...
