The bathroom was very uncomfortable. Sometimes we never had running water. And the few times that we did it was impossible to get hot water. Air conditioning did not work as good as it should. The staff was wonderful, but unfortunately the hotel was not up to par for us.

A peaceful gem in Bali – run with heart I had such a lovely stay at Qiul Guesthouse. The room was spotlessly clean, quiet, and comfortable – exactly what I needed for a restful break. It’s in a super convenient location, but still feels peaceful and tucked away from the noise. One of the highlights was the delicious breakfast each morning – simple, fresh, and made with care. What really made my experience special, though, was the warm, welcoming family who own and run the guesthouse. You can feel the love they’ve put into the place. They were kind, helpful, and always had a smile. If you’re looking for a quiet, clean, and affordable stay with a personal touch, I can’t recommend Qiul Guesthouse enough. Thank you to the family for making it feel like home. 🙌

Short stay in Ubud

Simple guest house near Ubud Centre. Quiet place due long walk to house from the road. Parking is small with narrow short road to it. Could be hard to find at the very first time. Overall good cheap stay.

Hosts are a wonderful family. Father and son picked me up from the airport. Daughter cleaned the room every day and brought a delicious breakfast every morning. The mother arranged the stay. All very friendly. Motorbike rental from the family's business for 1 month was only $90 USD. Good location near a key intersection. Great restaurants, cafes, spas, shopping, and a karaoke bar within walking distance as well as two convenience stores and a pharmacy. 20 min on the motorbike can take you to some truly stunning views and amazing zen cafes overlooking rice fields or river gorges. 30 minutes gets you to some of the best waterfalls like Kanto Lampo and Tukad Cepung. Guest room was amazing! Bed was comfortable and big. Nice desk for working. Beautiful terrace. And there was a large water dispenser in the room with a fridge and small kitchen. Very useful. The guest in the next room was a smoker, unfortunately, which made the terrace less usable than I would have liked. There was also a construction site nearby which made it noisy during the day and into the evening. Water pressure was a problem occasionally and was never extremely strong, but that its a common problem in Bali. Overall, I loved it and would highly recommend it. Ask whether the construction is finished, since I believe they should finish that building within the next few months.

Just off a short 1 min walk off the main busy street you‘ll find qiul guest house! Very friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast and a very nice and quiet getaway from Ubuds Main Street. Can only recommend.

Exploring Ubud

Very comfortable room, air con, wifi, no TV, central to restaurants and spas, only a 20 minute walk to the Ubud markets, breakfast can be ordered and laundry done for a very reasonable fee. Definitely would return. The rooms are set down a lane way which meant it was very quiet. Comfy bed too

I LOVED this property! The family here is very nice, breakfast every morning at your desired time, it’s clean with drinking water inside too, and can even do your laundry for a small fee. The bed is also comfy and there is AC too

Favourite place in SE asia

Weve been travelling around SE asia for 2 months now and this is our favourite place weve stayed. They bring breakfast to your room in the morning, theres drinking water and the owner and staff are lovely

Friendly staff, good location (close to the shops etc). Only negative was there is a cultural show that plays nearby and is VERY loud (it only goes until 8:30 or 9pm but we were in bed early to climb Mount Batur the next morning so it was interrupting our sleep). That being said, normally it’s very quiet, the staff are very kind and helpful. You can rent motorbikes or they can help you organize tours - overall would recommend!
