"Room smelt of smoke. Toilet seat was broken next to toilet. Shower door wouldn’t close. Shower head holder was broken. Sink was in the bedroom. Room was freezing. Never a 3 star. "

"2 girls outside our room being loud at 11pm was not very respectful and after a long day we just wanted to sleep. Luckily enough they moved on after a few minutes of hearing a door open. Room was big with decent amenities. Parking was good but don’t think having to pay £2.50 was necessary. There’s a restaurant onsite but don’t offer a proper breakfast which was disappointing. The tuna breakfast toasty was ok but not something you normally eat then. The bathroom needed a good clean. Unfortunately...

"I have stayed in youth hostels I would rate higher than the Hope Hotel. Shower didn't work, lamp didnt work, toilets didn't flush, music so loud from downstairs till 12.30am that couldn't hear TV and the shower door was rattling. Cabinet was broken and floor was dirty. Asked if could swap rooms and told what did I expect staying in a pub on a Saturday. There were rooms available and the woman was just rude. No sleep, no shower and just crap. "OK Lodge is just a name; what is is is a (nicely) extended and converted terraced house opposite a park; so now a few studio flats, with some common areas. Modern and clean but a couple of issues - like oven not even wired in; no table to eat off; and also whilst we booked for 3 adults and was confirmed; they called to say max was 2 adults & a child and would not refund the extra £50 for the 3rd adult (who couldn't now come of course) and I had to go through Expedia to get resolved.
