"The only real issue was the sound carrying from the hall and the room next to me. Our room had a door that connected to another room. Not our request but it just happened that way. I was able to hear the person clearing their throat and moving around early in the morning. I did not expect to be able to hear such soft noises between walls. Our neighbor was quiet but if they were noisier it would have made for a restless stay.
The property is under renovation but the work area is tidy and did...

The folks that run the Inn are warm and welcoming, you truly feel you are at home.
The other guests must feel the same way, because everyone is always smiling and kind.
The rooms are clean, had aircon or heat, a hairdryer, and comfy beds and pillows.

"Motel is being updated; room was super nice as well as clean. Neutral decor in new rooms had in a calming effect.

Bed mattresses were great -- one of the best night's sleep I've had in a long time.

"Lovely historic house just as l had hoped...ninteenth-century atnosphere, lovely well kept old wood floors..Linda was right there to greet me even though my time of arrival was delayed a little at Portland bus station... perfect Maine alternative to generic bland hotel chains.
