The hotel was clean and convenient for our stay in Freeport. Our son was disapppointed that the pool was closed for repairs, which we didn’t know about in advance. The trundle bed under the couch was a nice bonus so the two kids didn’t have to share a bed. Breakfast was a huge disappointment— we came down at 9 and nearly every food serving tray was empty. No oatmeal, fruit, yogurt, eggs, waffle batter — just some bagels and English muffins. There was cereal but almost no milk and only knives available to eat with! The staff slowly started to refill things (and brought out spoons thankfully) but they seemed poorly trained and were so slow we just gave up and left. Shouldn’t have to wait 30 minutes for subpar continental breakfast. Was hoping not to have to go buy breakfast but we did.

I booked my stay at the property because of the hotel details given to Expedia. The Hotel did not represent what was accurately going on at the time of my stay. The place was a complete construction zone. I could not park in the parking lot due to paving work and could not even use the front door. I was directed to a side door congested with workers and tools. I was unable to connect to WIFI in my room and the problem was not resolved after several attempts to get help. I was told at the front desk that they could not pull up my Expedia booking so they had to book me again through their site. I was then told that they did not offer breakfast contrary to what was stated in their Expedia site explanation. I should have left but was tired after a long day of driving. I have yet to receive any contact or restitution from hotel management with regard to my complaints. I’m hoping if you choose this hotel in the future that you get better customer service. Beware!

So we booked this hotel for our guest who was driving from Michigan to stay in Maine for a week. We specifically had looked for pet friendly hotels. So we booked because this hotel was listed as pet friendly on Expedia at the time. When my guest arrived, he was told that pets were not allowed and he would have to find another hotel. To add insult to injury card amount as a no-show, even though he was trying to check in and they denied him.

The hotel was under complete renovation. No access to the lobby. Check in was done through a window under a canopy. We were asked to use the side entrance along side the construction workers that was dusty and not secure. Stairways was inaccessible as the carpet was being pulled up. Construction began prior to 7:00 a.m. Note, our hotel room was fully renovated and comfortable. The biggest disappointment was not being aware that breakfast was not available due to the renovations and the pool was under renovations as well. No compensation was offered even if these services were included as per the expedia ad.
