"The hotel is designed and run by the owners , a most beautiful welcoming stay. It feels like a home with coffee tea and cakes available throughout the day, sitting by the poolside enjoying a cup of tea was delightful. The room is tastefully furnished with all amenities to meet daily needs. Breakfast has a good spread of fresh olives , tomatoes , greens , cold cuts , breads and pastries and eggs cooked to order. Location is very good , near the museum and restaurants . Will stay again in Akanthus...

"This hotel is a hidden gem! We stayed here for 11 nights in Sep/Oct 2025 and absolutely loved it. The hotel is minutes away from the port and the old town, with lots of shops and restaurants close by, but a note to consider - access to the hotel from the old town is up a steep flight of steps, (the staff will meet you and carry your luggage up and down), but something to consider if you have mobility issues. If you don't, don't let steps put you off! The hotel is a beautiful arrangement of small...
