On paper, the property appeared modern and clean, which initially seemed promising. It’s located near several restaurant options, a definite plus. The building itself sits next to a warehouse and trucking dispatch, which adds a more industrial feel to the surroundings.
The receptionist was very friendly and asked whether I preferred a first-floor or fourth-floor room. I mentioned I was looking for something quiet, and she recommended a room just off the lobby.
When I entered the room, the first thing I noticed was a very large stain on the carpet near the door. The bathroom floor was sticky, complete with visible shoe prints. The walls showed signs of repeated patchwork, suggesting they’d seen a lot of repairs over time. The furniture showed signs of heavy use. The view from the window featured several AC units, a large parking lot, and a trucking company’s loading dock, certainly memorable.
Given the room’s condition and lack of cleanliness, I wasn’t comfortable staying overnight, possibly leaving with an unexpected souvenir. I requested a refund after booking three nights. The staff refunded two nights but charged me for one.
I chose to book three nights at the Aloft in downtown Tulsa instead, and the difference between the two properties was immediately noticeable. If you have to choose between the two, I recommend downtown.
