"This place offers an affordable price compared to other hotels in Traverse City. I chose it mainly to have a place to sleep. I used silicone ear plugs to help with noise since the air conditioning unit and traffic can be loud. It has excellent hot water and a small refrigerator, which I really appreciate. "Very dated motel. Stayed here for the nostalgia, as I grew up going to HoJo's around the US. Check in was ok, but no one there to check out. Stairs to the room were rusty with peeling paint. Crumbling sidewalks. Felt unsafe. Shower curtain had that foul, sour smell--needs to be soaked in bleach or disinfectant. A real turn off. Beds seemed clean and we're comfy. Breakfast was surprisingly good--hard-boiled eggs, oatmeal, cereal, breakfast bars, muffins, juices, coffee, and best of all,...

"Beautiful view of West Grand Traverse Bay. Crisp clean new sheets of good quality. Table and two chairs in the room created a very nice sitting area plus a comfortable desk chair. Only bad part is that because of the way the fridge and microwave are situated, you cannot see the TV from the sitting area. The TV, by the way, is very nice sized, modern but has no cable TV just free channels. No freezer in the fridge and very limited counter space in the bathroom."
