"J’ai passé une très belle nuit à Dar El Jeld, dans une magnifique suite au charme traditionnel et à l’élégance raffinée. J’ai beaucoup aimé l ’ambiance, à la fois authentique, chic et chaleureuse. La suite était très confortable et décorée avec beaucoup de goût. Une belle parenthèse hors du temps, avec un accueil très agréable. Je recommande vraiment cette adresse et j’y retournerai avec plaisir. Amira ❤️"

"Very practical and luxurious layout of the fully equipped apartment suite: large fridge freezer with ice tray and complementary bottles of water, eggs, butter, tinned fish and harissa, bread biscuits and crisps, teas, sugars; kitchen sink with dish washing liquid and kit, microwave, electric cooker; large separate shower and bath; large wardrobes with generous supply of towels, robes, with hair dryer, ironing board and iron; large separate sitting and dining areas as well as access to private balcony. The strawberry smoothie juice was amazing! Most importantly - excellent air conditioning and right inside the Medina."

"The location is ideal if you want to be right in the Medina market area and close by all of the sites and attractions. The building and the rooms are gorgeous and you do feel like you've gone back in time but the rooms are modern to today. The staff were very friendly and helpful to make recommendations for nearby restaurants and shops. The breakfast was served for you personally each morning, a big thank you Muhammad Ali (not the boxer) and Asma for the kind and delicious start to each day. I took one of the "tours" that the hotel offers, it was more so a driver to get you to the destination than a tour in every sense of the word but still very helpful and a great experience. Overall I was very satisfied with my stay and would recommend the Palais for anyone that wants an authentic and historic stay in Tunis."

"Our stay at El Patio Courtyard House was truly exceptional and a highlight of our time in Tunisia. Ahmed was an amazing host—warm, attentive, and incredibly responsive from start to finish. We arrived very late, and he personally waited up to make sure we arrived safely and were comfortable, which immediately made us feel welcomed and cared for. The breakfast was amazing—fresh, delicious, and thoughtfully prepared. It set the tone for each day and added to the overall experience of the stay. The vibe of the house was exactly what we were hoping for in Tunisia: authentic, peaceful, and full of character. The space was super clean, very private, and beautifully maintained. Being located in the heart of the city made everything incredibly convenient, with easy access to local sights, food, and culture—yet the house itself felt like a quiet retreat. If you’re looking for a place that combines comfort, authenticity, and outstanding hospitality, El Patio Courtyard House is it. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Tunisia."
