"Our stay at El Patio Courtyard House was truly exceptional and a highlight of our time in Tunisia. Ahmed was an amazing host—warm, attentive, and incredibly responsive from start to finish. We arrived very late, and he personally waited up to make sure we arrived safely and were comfortable, which immediately made us feel welcomed and cared for. The breakfast was amazing—fresh, delicious, and thoughtfully prepared. It set the tone for each day and added to the overall experience of the stay. The vibe of the house was exactly what we were hoping for in Tunisia: authentic, peaceful, and full of character. The space was super clean, very private, and beautifully maintained. Being located in the heart of the city made everything incredibly convenient, with easy access to local sights, food, and culture—yet the house itself felt like a quiet retreat. If you’re looking for a place that combines comfort, authenticity, and outstanding hospitality, El Patio Courtyard House is it. "Absolutely loved this place in the Medina, just a few minutes walk from Zeitouna Mosque. It's tasteful and beautifully presented, evocative of times gone by and just like the lovely pictures. Everywhere you look there is something nice to see. We were in a lovely large room and it was a delight to wake and look out at the courtyard and eat on the veranda in fresh air. We were here in February - the Medina was very quiet at night and our room was peaceful. The staff were ready to help - Hassan made sure we got to and from the restaurants in the evening so that we didn't lose our way in the Medina at night. A great spot to explore Tunis and be right at its heart. We'd happily come back! "

"A nicely decorated hotel, certainly not luxury but lovely. My room wasn't great, no balcony as advertised, the view was another wall and smell coming in from the restaurant downstairs. Despite it all, the real luxury in this hotel are the people working there, everyone, from the porter to the reception guys to the breakfast lady, were so nice and considerate that made my stay the best I could have. I felt safe and taken care of, which is something you want when solo travelling. Thanks Royal Victoria!"

"I choose the smaller economy room this time, and it was still decently sized. Also spent more time relaxing on the lounges on the 4th and 5th floors. Honestly, the hotel is great. Good location, helpful staff, close to a Monoprix supermarket."
