The iconic Lamberti Tower in Verona! Construction started in 1172. In May 1403 the top of the tower was struck by lightning, but the restoration works didn't start until 1448 and took 16 years. During that time, the tower was enlarged: The more recent sections can be recognized today by the use of different materials (such as marble). The large clock was added in 1779. At 84 meters high it's a really impressive sight!

"Highly recommend! Great location on the Piazza Erbe, really kind staff, and beautiful terrace for breakfasts or apperativos. There is flight of semi-spiral stairs to get up to the reception desk (where there is an elevator to access the rest of the floors), so if carrying luggage up and down a flight of stairs, which might limit accessibility for some."

"Technical savvy needed ie. texting,email,video. This is really a first class air B and B. Central and walkable. Good newly renovated solid apartment building. Clean, quiet, good air conditioning( mid)September. Safe. Serviced every day with new towels . room done quietly and efficiently. Never saw another human as everything done silently and efficiently by phone. Near ancient Arena but with double glazed windows never heard anything. Would definitely stay again."
