"Our room was clean. There was a soccer match going on during the night of our first stay and it did get a bit noisy out on the street outside our room until about 1:00 AM. Other than that it was a good place to stay and within a short distance to Edinburgh castle and the Royal mile. "

"The Four Sisters was a unforgettable experience I would recommend. The location is convenient to the historical sites and museums of Edinburgh. We were fortunate to be there during the local canal festival and were able to learn more about the area and join the community. The staff was helpful and just a text away. The plumbing is a bit tricky but you are on a boat and once we got the hang of it, there were no problems"

"Mixed feelings overall. The block was in easy quick reach to Haymarket train station and only a 20-25 min walk to the centre of Edinburgh so location was great. Hiwever, the reception is not in the main apartment block. Its around a 100 meters further up the road. So after a long train journey and in wet weather a further travel up and down the road for check in grated a little for me but check in itself was OK.

"We were upgraded to a wonderful bright 2 bedroom corner apartment in a quiet location, with lots of windows. We really appreciated the extra space. The location was an easy walk to the Royal mile (about 20 minutes), the castle, and major sites. It was also an easy and short walk to the Haymarket bus and train terminals. Our only issue was that the kitchen needed some cleaning attention, but the rest of the suite was spotless.

"Hotel was not in the type of neighborhood I expected. My room (96) on the 0 floor required me to go through two closed doors. The hall lights were motion activated and stepping into a dark, closed hall was a little unnerving. 1 front desk person was very nice, all others were pretty disinterested. Although my room was fine, I heard many other guests complain about maintenance issues.
