"We actually had 2 stays at this hotel, bookending a multi-day trip. On both occasions, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Lauren handled our check-in on both occasions and remembered us on our return trip. It was nice to return to a friendly face! The breakfast offerings were good. The furniture in both of our rooms looked a bit worn. The room we were given on our return stay had an odor lingering under an air freshener spray scent such as Febreeze. As we were only staying one...

"Stayed two nights. Hotel is well situated but is getting a bit outdated. Bathroom door was poorly repaired. Hotel is quite noisy, all sounds within the hotel seem to carry and the doors slamming was both heard and felt when lying in bed. Breakfast was just basic. First morning apparently no chef working so no hot options only continental. Second morning with a chef so we were able to order hot food. Partner ordered a full Scottish breakfast and was happy but I ordered salmon, poach eggs and...

"It is a lovely, stylish hotel in a very central location. I liked the small touches with a really attractive and very comfortable, large room. Breakfast is excellent. Some nice restaurants around it and the 2 train stations and shops are very close by. I very much recommend this hotel."

"Lady at the service desk was not very helpful regarding parking. Garage is next to the hotel and not owned by the property. Still, would be helpful if the staff could provide more guidance. We were also not told the room key needs to be placed in the room to turn on power."
