We were stopping off on a trip to Flamingo land. The manager was very accommodating, flexible and very friendly. The setting is very peaceful. Very recommendation will stay again.

Well worth it

Very comfortable stay here. Lovely location and very handy for thirsk or going towards the coast. Room was excellent. Cannot comment on breakfast as chef was ill on day and there was no breakfast available.

Good for a single night stay

We had a comfortable and clean room but the shower offered a somewhat tired flow. Meal was good though and overall the hotel was good for a single night stay.

Lovely few nights staying here this weekend. We just needed something simple as well we had plans to eat out so we did not have breakfast or dinner here but the room was good for a reasonable price. Worth mentioning that you need to book taxis in advance as it is just outside of the town centre

Accommodation met our needs. Accommodation in process of upgrading but incomplete in room bathroom tiling incomplete and tiles needed grout cleaned from tiles.b however our room was clean and tidy

Family time

Receptionist was a lovely Ukrainian girl who couldn't do enough to help .only fault was thin walls and very noisy floor boards , kettle next door going on at six in the morning right in your ear but apart from that a lovely stay , thank you .

Comfortable stay

Comfortable room- good size. By the road so was a little noisy in the morning. Lovely receptionist who was very helpful when we were late arriving. We didn’t have any food so can’t comment.

Good value for a one night stay

For the price paid for the room it was good value. Room was clean and comfortable and more than adequate for one night. Hotel was quiet. A few minor things were not working - one bedside light, light over mirror in bathroom and the button on the toilet flush was missing, meaning you had to press the flush mechanism to operate it. I would stay again for a one night stop over.

Excellent cost benefit

Cosy and comfy, very clean, nice shower, beds were great. The radiators weren't working so the staff promptly provide us an electric portable one. We had dinner there which was great as well (maybe a bit overpriced but definetely worth it). Overal cost benefit was excellent. Would definitely come back. Thank you so much :)

Room was very clean and spacious, no meals available or breakfast. There was a bar but only open 3 - 8 so didn’t use it

quick lovely stay!

It was great! greeted by a lovely lady who gave us our wifi password and what we needed. had no problems at all. lovely and warm in room especially in this weather. only flaw is no shelf in bathroom but not major. thankyou very much for having me and my friend :)

The hotel appeared well maintained on our arrival , albeit very quiet. When we had paid for the room, we was informed that the hotel had no services ie , no breakfast /food facilities. The hotel had no staff infact, the receptionist worked the bar that afternoon/evening . The room was clean and hotel quiet , and we did have a pleasant rest , However, we could have been informed that the hotel had no other facilities.

1 night stay for a night at races for work overall have to say poor hotel and very over priced for the quality of the stay . Noise is a big issue every time some one comes in you hear them in rooms above as well must be paper thins walls not a great nights sleep rooms very basic no fans on warm nights no AC obviously . And for what you paying Exocet a lot better wouldn’t be my choice next time I’m visiting thirsk the one big posative plenty Parking and nice and easy

Staff were excellent. Room walls very thin. I had a very drunken couple next door shouting and screaming nearly all night. I heard your staff trying to quieten them down. Late into the night the couple went to the car park and continually sounded their car horn. Very disturbed night, but I must emphasise that your staff were very good, polite and willing to help in general and attempted to deal with a difficult situation.

Not too bad, could be better.

Not too bad for the price. Would have liked a menu to see what you could of expected if you decided to go for evening meal. Advertised garden view/side, when in fact it was a small patch of grass at the road side of building. Outdoor light on side of building quote bright resulting in a a quote light room at night. No where to put key on check out if no one was on reception. Room doors bang quite loud, due to the way the room lock works. TV antenna wasn’t the best and quite a bit of interference. Car park is quite large and the views are nice. I would stay here again but wouldn’t want to pay more than what I did as I think it was more or less worth the price at the time.
