"Excellent size room, enormous comfortable bed with quality bedding. Good size ensuite with waterfall shower and bath, plenty of hot water and lovely complimentary toiletries. Central location within walking distance of various eating establishments, café,pubs and the Chilterns. Friendly , polite and welcoming staff. Limited on site parking."

"My third stay here whilst on business in the area. My wife and I had also eaten here a couple of weeks back whilst in the area, as we always do. Archie was very friendly and helpful at check in, as was his colleague behind the bar ( sorry ! I didn’t catch her name). I was in the Belle Suite this time, the room was lovely with all the amenities you’d expect - including a fridge, coffee machine and spacious, clean bathroom. The bed was really comfortable and once people and cars turning up or leaving the pub / restaurant had quietened down, a lovely quiet night. I’ll be staying again in a few weeks, this place never disappoints. Sitting by the river in the sunshine with a drink after my 4 hour drive was just what the doctor ordered. Thank you for another lovely stay. Dave RS"

"The staff were very helpful and lovely, me and my friends stayed here for reading festival and they were very supportive in accommodating us. The self cater kitchen is lovely and includes everything you would need, the lounge is a nice quiet area to relax and the rooms were decent for a youth hostel with clean bedsheets and bunkbeds! The area itself is lovely and quaint we were very happy to stay here especially since the train was only a 20 minute walk away."
