"It’s a no frills room so I thought a tad expensive but the shower leaves something to be desired, scalding hot or freezing cold, your choice and don’t try turning, you will bruise something. Staff were nice and the room was clean and we had a decent breakfast. I’m irked by the shower"

"What amazing stay here for New Year’s Eve . It was the cutest place, the enormous gorgeous Christmas had me sold it was amazing and made it extra special all the little extras all the decorations. The hosts were so lovely , friendly welcoming and nothing was too much for them . The breakfast was amazing and a great selection. The room was very clean and cosy . "Easy check in at the bar, our room was small but fine for us, the only thing lacking is a mini fridge. The hosts and locals are great, friendly and down to earth people. The food is excellent and they serve well kept beers at a reasonable price. I would definately reccomend this place and we will stay again. 👍🇬🇧 "

"I was a walker arriving at the Nag's Head at 15.30. I was warmly received and shown to my very comfortable room. Although the restaurant was closed on a Tuesday evening, i was provided with a wonderful Chinese meal at a very modest cost. I requested a continental breakfast which was fine. Pick Hill is a lovely small village with a long history, some of which is displayed in the ancient church. "

"check in is in another pub in town. the white bear is quite run down, the rooms are clean but the plumbing, toilets showers are incredibly noisy ( using them during the night would wake everyone up king of noisy) and do smell a bit. if there was anywhere else to stay we would have done and at £133 it was incredibly poor value"

"Crathorne Hall is a lovely old fashioned hotel in a peaceful setting. We had a room upgrade which did help but the staff are excellent, as is the food. The highlight at breakfast was the uttapam, a traditional Indian breakfast dish."
