"This is a lovely hotel, conveniently located near Fenway Park and the Charles River Esplanade. It has an old world charm with modern amenities. The service was excellent. Very friendly and accommodating staff. The room was clean and well-appointed, and includes turn down service. Comfortable bed. Surroundings are quiet. "We thought the room and service was ideal. We had a decent view from the eighth floor (we prefer the higher floors). There was no hotel "scent" which was appreciated. It was a clean room that maybe had a slight whiff of fresh laundry which is ideal. The staff were gracious, accommodating, and helpful. The lobby felt high-end and "slozy" (sleek and cozy; a true accomplishment in design—often tough to successfully marry these disparate characteristics). "
