"This amazing place has everything for a stay in a unique building in peaceful and quiet surroundings. The old rectory house is a lovely building with so much character. It is located in a quiet area and within walking distance to Arrow Valley country park which has some lovely walks, scenery and wildlife. "Ok stay but the pictures oversold. The room wasn’t clean and we had one desk fan between four of us in the heat. Also the pool area wasn’t very clean, and the food at dinner was over cooked. The staff, however, were super friendly."

"I stayed in a smaller room. This is my 2nd visit. My only complaint is the pillows they are awful. Everything else is good. Staff super helpful, great easy parking. Nice touches like the fridge and coffee machine downstairs."

"Everything good. Only minor issues were the shower had no hooks or shelves to put shampoo or shower gel or flanels/scrubbing. And the cooling fan in our room was super noisy, so couldn't be used. As I say, minor."

"Lovely property. Front desk staff very helpful. Requested housecoats and slippers, slippers never came, housecoats was the rattiest thing I have seen, would fit a child and both had no ties. I stayed two days and they never vacuumed my room and there was a spider on the ceiling and a huge cobweb in the window that I cleaned. I had to ask three different people to fix the safe before it was fixed. Dining staff was extremely slow with picking up dishes and the food was not very flavourful for...

"Very friendly greeting on arrival, super clean room with air conditioning which was very welcome during this very hot weather. Comfortable bed and good shower pressure. Good selection of food for breakfast and free parking. What’s not to like!"

"Really loved our stay at The Blue Boar. Enjoyed an excellent dinner in the beer garden, and the breakfast was wonderful. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Parking was plentiful and the electric car charging station was the best and easiest we used on our travels. Would definitely stay again."
